Group Use of Mill Hollow

Mill Hollow Christmas Tree Farm is a great place for you to have a family, church, or work  gathering.  It is one of the few places where the younger members of your group (i.e. the children) will not get bored.

We are also willing to work with you on whether you wish to just rent the place or want us to supply one or more of the activities that makes Mill Hollow so much fun.   Do take our Pictorial Tour and check out our Activities for more information about the farm.  Better yet, visit us at Christmas.

What dates are available?

The use of our farm for groups is severely limited during our Christmas tree selling season from Thanksgiving to Christmas and also during our October Outing.  The farm is open for group reservations during our non-selling season. The farm will be closed on some weekends due to farm activities which could be dangerous to you or to curious children.  Please call to confirm the date you desire is workable.  Please follow this link for dates available.

What can we do?

We are able to tailor the use and consequently the charges for using our farm to the needs of your group.  We are very flexible if you wish to supply your own food and do your own thing.   If you want entertainment, it will be up to your group to provide their own entertainment  (i.e skits, story telling by the bonfire, star gazing in the field, guitar playing, singing etc. ).

How much will this Cost?

The basic rental charge for our farm is $100 or $2 per person with a twenty five person minimum which ever is less.  Included in this basic rental for your group's enjoyment are the following:

What if I want more?

The following are also available but will require an additional charge :

Do I have to come with my group of wild kids?

Mature chaperones are required for all groups containing children under eighteen years of age.   The younger the children or the more irresponsible the teens, the more chaperones will be required.  Chaperones are also included in the number of people and in the number for food.  For chaperones, we suggest at a minimum one adult per eight children.

Can we get our extra long bus into your farm?

Well, I do not know and suggest your bus driver check it out.  School buses have made it up the hill.  The bus must come down a county road, cross a narrow bridge over a deep gorge, go up a very steep hill, make some very sharp corners and park on a grassy parking lot.  Alternatively, the bus can park on the county road and everyone hike up the very steep hill!

How about the fine print?

Misunderstanding can make for a very bad business relationship.  Therefore, we want to make you aware of the restrictions we place on your group's use of our farm.   Some of these restrictions can be changed to accommodate your group special needs.  Please ask.

A normal weekend rental day starts no earlier than noon on Saturday or Sunday and ends one hour after sunset.    If your needs are different, please let us discuss them with you.  If rain occurs, you do have the option to cancel with a total refund or reschedule for a mutually acceptable later date.

During the weekdays, the rental will start at a mutually agreed upon time but must end no later than one hour after sunset.

At our option, we may have more than one group at the farm.  Reservations must be made no later than four weeks before the desired date.  A deposit will be required with this reservation.  This deposit is not refundable if you cancel.  We reserve the option to cancel any reservation at any time with a total refund of the basic rent and any other charges for extras included in the deposit.   (We must protect ourselves from the unexpected like a hurricane, fire, tornado, family illness etc.)

One or two weeks before the scheduled day, we will require a meeting to confirm the requirements of the group, any special needs of the group and familiarize the leader of the group with what will occur.  At that time, we will receive payment for the basic rental and for any other extras.  Any overpayment will be refunded back to you after the event.

No firearms will be allowed on the farm for obvious reasons.    Smoking is allowed by campfire or in your vehicle.  We will stop any activity that is causing damage to our property, could cause injury to us or someone in your group or that we believe to be "inappropriate".   (Use your imagination of what we mean by "inappropriate"!)  If any inappropriate activity is not stopped when asked, your group will be asked to leave the farm immediately with no refund on the deposit or rental .  The San Jacinto County Sheriff will be called if necessary.

How do I get the ball rolling on renting out your farm?

Please call us any day during the week and we can discuss this in more detail. Our telephone number is (281) 469-2981 or (936) 377-4044.  Alternatively, send us an e-mail.
